Craving some afternoon tea and book-themed treats? Join me for a reading, Q&A, and book signing with Roadrunner Bookshop hosted by Tea & Tidbits from 4-6. No registration required.
Spend two nights at the Colorado Chautauqua surrounded by Boulder's Flatirons. I'll be a guest on Sunday's podcast taping as a part of the Boulder Bookstore Reading Retreat (and you can choose your favorite lodging right here).
I'll be chatting about Cinema, character-building tips, and writing insights at the Koelbel Library with author Ellen O'Clover (The Heartbreak Hotel). A book signing will follow the presentation with copies available for purchase from The Bookies Bookstore.
Register here. Event begins at 6:30.
Enjoy a little time to catch up on your next read with mountain views, then join me for a special book club discussion on Saturday, 4/18, about The Second Chance Cinema.
Register for the weekend of events (from 4/17-4/19).
There’s something deeply satisfying about a witty, fast-fire exchange in fiction. The rhythm of these moments can build chemistry and familiarity between characters and give us even more of a reason to root for them.
So, what actually makes for lively conversations that pop off the page? In this workshop, we'll look at a few examples from movies and books. Then, we’ll write a one-page conversation between two provided characters—and use a few helpful tools to sharpen it up in real-time.
Class will be help from 10:30-11:30. A short signing of The Second Chance Cinema will follow. Register here.
